Relationships
Main Description

User acceptance testing (UAT) must be conducted to ensure and validate that the technical environment is established for service delivery as per requirements and design. While preparing for the user acceptance testing, it is extremely critical to identify the appropriate testers and communicate their roles and responsibilities. The Technology And Infrastructure Lead should ensure that a RACI matrix is developed.

Once the testers are identified, the Technology And Infrastructure Lead or delegate must confirm the UAT schedule with all the relevant stakeholders and share the finalized schedule with all involved. The availability of the key stakeholders should be taken into consideration while finalizing the schedule. All the logistics required to conduct the UAT in the agreed timelines must be identified and arranged.

The Technology And Infrastructure Test Plan should be revisited as needed in order to update any additional information in the plan.

Typically, the key deliverables of User Acceptance Test planning will include:

  • Test plan outlining the testing strategy
  • User acceptance test cases

Typically, the Technology And Infrastructure Lead should ensure that a mechanism to analyze the results of UAT exists and that those results are published to the appropriate parties.
